You don’t want to have to walk out in a dangerous snowstorm and risk your life to power up a generator. One of the things I look for in a good gas powered generator is a big sized tank and whether or not it will be sufficient to power my house’s electrical system.
It’s good to make a list of what you will be powering in your home with your gas powered generator. This will make it easier for you to talk with an expert about choosing the right generator for your particular needs.
For example Honeywell has some of the best portable generators on the market. What’s the main reason for owning a Honeywell portable generator? First off, as a powerful engine and secondly it has an over sized muffler for quiet operation. It’s not easy to find a high powered generator, that is quiet, which makes this particular generator a winner in my book.
Briggs & Stratton and Eastern Tools and Equipment both have some great generators, that are good for backups. Finding a gas powered and are a bit offers up to 8250 Watts is worth whatever the price you have to pay, because remember it’s your life and your loved ones, that is on the line when an unexpected storm hits.
